The fruit for this wine was sourced from Elizabeth Vineyards located in Redwood Valley. The vines growing on these well drained, red valley floor soils provide intense dark fruit character. Aromas of brambly berries, pencil lead, and black pepper.

Full bodied and concentrated with flavors of blueberries, sugar plum, dark chocolate, black tea, and dusty notes. On the palate it is full and round with chewy tannins and moderate acidity. Aged for 18 months in oak barrels (20% new). No animal derived compounds were used in the production of this wine.
