Tasting Notes: The El Vaquero Pinot Noir "Muns Vineyard" 2017 is a Santa Cruz Mountains red known for dark cherry, spice, earthy notes, smooth tannins, and aging potential, crafted from Dijon clones 114, 115, 667, and 777, offering complexity from its terroir with a balance of fruit and structure, making it a well-regarded, age-worthy Californian Pinot Noir. 

From The Winery: El Vaquero is a small, family operated winery based in Corralitos, California; home of our sustainably farmed estate Pinot Noir vineyard.  El Vaquero clebrates the heritage of Corralitos and a spirit who watches over the estate vineyard.

The apparition of the cowboy (El Vaquero) has made himself known on several occasions.  Believed to be a shaman who often meditated on the hilltop property overlooking the Monterey Bar in the 1880s.
