FROM THE WINERY:
The grape varietal Friulano is the building block of Friulano Cuisine
and from a culture and historical perspective it is the most
important white varietal of the Friuli region. This Friulano comes
from the Colli Orientali from sites in and around the hills of
Rossazo and Corno di Rossazo all planted on Ponca soil.
Friulano Colli Orientali Del Friuli DOC
A collaboration with Christian Patat in Colli Orientali.
The wine was aged partly in small 5 hl stainless steel tanks and
in neutral barrique. Blending is 70% from barrique and 30%
from stainless steel.
Aged 13 months and then 6 months in bottle before release.
Bright, platinum, pale in color.
Ripe strawberry, citrus and candied lemon all folded in with a hint
of cinnamon and spice.
Full body Friulano with great texture, extract and medium acidity.
FOOD AND WINE PAIRINGS
Our Friulano’s greatest food pairing is Prosciutto di San Daniele.
It is also great with poultry, light pork dishes and fattier fish like
salmon or tuna.
