From The Winery: he particular block of Syrah used for this wine has the least topsoil of anywhere else planted on the property and is planted running up and down the steep east facing slope. The Chave Clonal Selection produces super tiny berries with exotic aromas and flavors while the long stems get a full dose of sun around the tiny berries giving the wine more spice and breadth.
