Critical Acclaim
COMMENTARY: The 2018 Chalone Vineyard Estate Grown Chardonnay rekindles memories of vintages I tasted in the late 1970s. I made several visits to the winery in my early career, and I have never stopped tracking this wine. TASTING NOTES: This wine does an excellent job of balancing aromas and flavors of ripe apple, peach skin, and oak. A hint of minerality in the finish wraps it all together nicely. Pair it with grilled, skewered prawns. (Tasted: September 9, 2020, San Francisco, CA)

The great chard with the acclaim of finishing 3rd place in The Taste of Paris. This California chard was blind tasted in France and stood up tons and tons of French wines. A huge honor for Chalone Chardonnay. Definitely worth the price.
